Some of the most meaningful work happens in partnership. Learning with Lado loves teaming up with schools, museums, and community organizations to bring art education that is culturally responsive and inquiry-driven to the people of New York, meeting learners where they are, in the places they already gather.
Workshops
Single-session workshops, from intimate small-group gatherings to large events. Past workshops include a 200-person painting workshop for a talent agency offsite, museum-based observational drawing sessions, and community workshops centered on close looking and the elements of art.
Multi-Session Residencies
Embedded artist-in-residence engagements, from short residencies to semester-long projects culminating in student exhibitions. Current residency work with the Basquiat Project will culminate in a student showcase at the Brooklyn Museum in 2026.
Co-Developed Programming
Long-form creative collaborations that braid studio practice, art history, and community engagement. Includes ongoing partnership work with Create Humanity, where studio sessions support fundraising and humanitarian initiatives around the world.
Curriculum & Consultation
Working alongside educators, museum education staff, and program leaders to design or refine visual art curriculum and program structure. Particularly experienced in culturally responsive curriculum design, gallery-integrated teaching, and studio-based pedagogy for K–12 settings.
