Mentorship
The most personal work I do — long-form, one-on-one guidance shaped entirely around a single artist. This is where I've seen the greatest growth: in skill, in confidence, and in the courage to make work that's truly your own.
Mentorship is not a class with a fixed syllabus. It's a sustained, one-on-one relationship built entirely around you — your goals, your interests, your chosen medium, and your pace. We work together over time, which is what allows for real depth: the kind of growth that simply can't happen in a single workshop or a crowded classroom.
Every mentorship is different because every artist is different. But each one combines regular one-on-one sessions, structured assignments toward a real body of work, ongoing critique, and personalized lesson plans grounded in the close study of master artists. You'll develop technical skill and the ability to articulate your choices — the thing that separates a strong portfolio from a merely competent one.
Portfolio Development
Focused, long-form preparation for students applying to New York City's specialized visual arts schools — including programs like LaGuardia and Art & Design. Together we build a strong, cohesive portfolio that meets each program's requirements: developing technical skill, a genuine body of work, and the confidence to present it. My students have built portfolios of remarkable work, and won places at the schools they dreamed of.
Open Study
For anyone — child, teen, or adult — who wants to grow in a medium they love, from drawing and painting to digital art. There's no application deadline and no prerequisite; only the desire to go deeper. Sessions are shaped around your goals, your pace, and your interests, with dedicated one-on-one attention every step of the way.
Undivided attention
No class of twenty-five to share. Every minute is spent on your work, your questions, and the next step that's right for you specifically.
A plan built for you
Personalized lesson plans and assignments, grounded in master art studies, calibrated to exactly where you are and where you want to go.
Real growth over time
Sustained work is where the leaps happen. Skill compounds, confidence builds, and a real artistic voice begins to emerge.
Taught by a working artist
I teach from inside the practice, not from a textbook — so you learn how artists actually see, decide, and make.
A selection of work created by students through mentorship. The growth they show — in skill, in voice, and in confidence — is the work I'm most proud of.
Start with a consultation
Every mentorship begins with a required consultation. It's where we talk through your goals, the schools you're considering or the medium you want to explore, and what mentorship would look like for you — so we both know the fit is right before we begin.
Begin with a monthly package
Mentorship starts with a monthly package of four one-on-one sessions. Working consistently over the month is what builds momentum and makes real progress possible.
Continue session by session
After your first monthly package, you can continue with individual sessions as it suits you — keeping the pace and rhythm that works for your goals.
Let's see if it's the right fit.
Tell me a little about the student and what you're hoping for — the schools you're considering, the medium you want to explore, or simply where you'd like to grow. I'll be in touch to set up a consultation. Use the form just below to reach me.
